Deep Thought #352

We often take God’s love for granted; we think God loves us no matter what so I can do whatever I want. Yet in Galatians 5:13 Paul warned us, “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free (liberty). But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.”

It’s true that God loves us unconditionally, but it does not stop us from suffering the consequences of our choices.

Proverbs 3:12 “For the LORD corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom He delights.”

Friend, this saying is true: “You play, you pay.” The forgiveness of sin is to prevent you from going to hell but it does not take away the consequences of the choosing. Wise up people, satisfying the flesh can be very costly.
