Deep Thought #119

Many Christians want the Lord to use them. But they are unaware that when we tell God to use us, it means there’s no more “self-will.” Everything is His will, His terms and His way. Too many times Christians have failed to serve God continuously because they did not realize this is the price we have to pay. And they gave up or simply became worn out. They told themselves “this is too hard!!” But all God wants from us is to lay down our “will.”

Paul said in Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” And he continued in Philippians 1:21, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Friend, Jesus told us “many are called but few are chosen.” Do you really want to be used by God? Are you willing to give up your WILL? I encourage you to consider it carefully before asking God to use you. Unless you are willing to pay the price, don’t mess with it. Jesus said, “I rather you be hot or cold, but since you are lukewarm I will puke you out.” Take heed!
